Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Market Data Developer to join our Information Technology Group. This is a W2 opportunity ideal for someone with deep expertise in .NET, Azure, and Capital Markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining market data applications, APIs, and data pipelines to support market analysis and investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities: Design & Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain market data applications and RESTful APIs using .NET Core and Python.

  • Build scalable solutions for consolidating and analyzing large datasets from market feeds and internal systems.

  • Create and manage complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures for data reporting and transformation.

Data Pipeline & ETL:

  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from financial market data vendors.

  • Leverage Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks for scalable and automated data ingestion processes.

  • Automate data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure high data quality.

Data Integration & Storage:

  • Design data storage solutions using relational or NoSQL databases for real-time and historical data analysis.

  • Integrate multiple, disparate data sources into a unified architecture.

Monitoring & Support:

  • Build monitoring tools to track data feed quality and application health.

  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal disruption to trading systems.

Cloud & DevOps:

  • Utilize Azure Cloud Services for deploying and scaling applications.

  • Work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.

  • Ensure cloud-based solutions are secure, scalable, and reliable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development and system architecture.

  • Strong experience with .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, and RESTful APIs.

  • Expertise in data modeling, data integration, and handling data feeds from vendors like Bloomberg, Intex, S&P, Markit, Greenstreet, MSCI, etc.

  • Experience with Azure, Data Lakes, Databricks, and CI/CD tools.

  • Familiarity with Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of capital markets and financial data workflows.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite in NYC local candidates preferred)
