Job Description & Requirements:
The Field Engineer is responsible for a broad scope of operational support and IMAC (install, move, add, and change) requests supporting the IT infrastructure in office environments, reservation centers, and airport locations. This position is responsible for implementation, support, and repairs of desktop devices, applications, peripherals, telephone systems, network devices, airline-specific equipment (Kiosk, Flight Information Display Systems, Ramp Information Display Systems), and multiple server platforms. Performs, as specified in the Service Request, the physical relocation of any IT infrastructure devices (PC workstations, peripheral devices, phones, network routers, airport devices, etc.). Travel, on-call, weekend work, and some off-hour work required.
Quals--
Specific Qualifications:
Education: 2 - 4 years formal IT training or 3+ years equivalent experience.
Certifications: A+ Certification preferred.
Technical Knowledge: PC workstation and laptop repairs and application knowledge (MS Office, Outlook, etc.) required.
Skills:
Troubleshooting skills (hardware/software/network).
Windows workstation and peripheral knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technical expertise to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs.
Experience: Previous airline experience preferred.
Availability: Must be able to accommodate travel, on-call I.T. support, weekend work, and overnight trips.
