Job Details

Job Title: Oracle UIM Developer

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Job Type: - Contract

On-Site

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy Oracle UIM cartridges and inventory models to support business and network requirements.

  • Customize UIM components such as specifications, entity specifications, actions, and rulesets.

  • Develop and maintain UIM cartridges using Design Studio.

  • Integrate UIM with other OSS/BSS systems (e.g., Oracle ASAP, OSM, Siebel, or custom APIs).

  • Work closely with solution architects and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Support configuration, customization, and optimization of UIM to align with operational needs.

  • Perform unit and system integration testing, and assist QA teams during validation.

  • Provide technical documentation and training as needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to UIM cartridges, performance, and integrations.

  • Support production environments and participate in on-call rotation if required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3 5+ years of experience with Oracle Communications UIM.

  • Strong experience with Design Studio for cartridge development and deployment.

  • Good understanding of telecom service modeling (e.g., logical and physical resources, services, networks).

  • Strong Java and XML development skills.

  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST), JMS, and integration protocols.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and DevOps practices.

  • Familiarity with Oracle Communications Suite (OSM, ASAP, MS, etc.) is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of TM Forum standards (SID, eTOM).

  • Experience with telecom networks (e.g., IP, MPLS, VoIP, Fiber, LTE/5G).

  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Middleware or SOA Suite.

  • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
