Senior Systems Engineer/ San Mateo, CA

We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Windows/Network Systems Engineer to join our team.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Mateo CA or Campbell, CA.
Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in managing, configuring, and optimizing Windows network systems and servers.
• Proficient with Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, and securing Windows environments.
• Practical experience with network hardware such as Cisco, SonicWALL, and Fortinet switches and firewalls.
• Experience in managing virtualized environments, including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of both on-premises and cloud-based data backup solutions, and email systems like Office 365 and GSuite.
• Skilled with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including Intune and Jamf.
• Independent, self-driven with strong time management skills.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Network certification (CCNA) or similar is preferred.
• Server certification (MSCE) or similar is also preferred.
• Additional technical certifications are highly regarded.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance and operation of technology infrastructures at client sites and remotely, supporting a diverse clientele.
• Provide hands-on support for client networks, servers, and storage, ensuring stable operation and infrastructure.
• Participate in planning and deploying IT projects, focusing on high-availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Act as a senior technical resource for issues beyond the scope of desktop support or helpdesk capabilities.
• Collaborate with Managers, Service Coordinators, and fellow Engineers to deliver excellent customer service and meet service-level agreements.
• Address and resolve network and system issues, whether remotely or on-site.
• Uphold the company's professional standards in all client interactions.

Including these skills in your resume would be beneficial:

• Experience with Azure Cloud environments; AWS knowledge is a plus.
• Expertise in virtualization with VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with server setups, on-premises AD, and Azure AD.
• Detailed knowledge of Cisco products, especially Cisco Meraki.
• Experience with O365 applications (Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, Azure AD).
• Competency with various firewalls and switches, including brands like Palo Alto Networks.
• Familiarity with MDM solutions such as Intune and Jamf.
