Position: Oracle Cloud Finance Functional
Location: Hybrid- Dallas, TX (4 days onsite)
Duration: 12+Months
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience
Role Overview: The Oracle Cloud Finance Consultant plays a pivotal role at client locations, serving as the primary interface between client business/IT stakeholders and Deloitte resources. In this hands-on role, you will deliver expert post go-live production support, system optimization, and functional enhancements across Oracle Cloud Financials modulesincluding but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Expense Management, Cash Management, Costing, Collections, and Credit Management. You will ensure the seamless operations of finance processes, manage business-critical incidents, and continually drive process improvement as an integrated member of both the client teams.
Core Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the front-line Deloitte consultant at the client site, establishing strong working relationships with client IT and Business teams. Actively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify system behaviors, and provide prompt, expert-level guidancetranslating technical solutions into business value.
Global Team Collaboration:
Closely collaborate with Deloittes offshore and remote teams. Efficiently allocate workload, coordinate handovers, communicate requirements clearly, and ensure seamless follow-the-sun support for incidents, changes, and project deliverables. Foster a culture of open communication and shared responsibility across geographies.
Production Support & Incident Management:
Rapidly triage, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and user queries across all Oracle Cloud finance modules, leveraging both onsite knowledge and offshore expertise to deliver high service quality and minimize business disruption.
System Enhancements & Process Optimization:
Analyze recurring pain points and changing business needs. Gather user feedback, recommend, and configure approved changes to optimize processes or resolve systemic issuesprioritizing enhancements in collaboration with client and Deloitte teams.
Continuous Business Improvement:
Partner with client business and IT leads to proactively identify opportunities for system or process improvement. Conduct fit-gap analyses, recommend best practice solutions, and drive small-to-medium scale change initiatives through completion.
Testing, Validation & Deployment:
Lead and coordinate testing activitiesimpact analysis, end-to-end validation, and user acceptancewith both client and Deloitte team members. Oversee production deployments and support the client through post-deployment stabilization.
User Training & Knowledge Transfer:
Update and refine user guides and process documentation. Deliver engaging training and re sessions to business and end users on new features or processes, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
Compliance, Audit Support & Data Integrity:
Monitor finance data and process compliance, support audit requests, and ensure finance operations remain aligned with regulatory and internal control requirements.
Key Skillset & Attributes:
Proven expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Expense, Cash Management, Costing, Collections, and Credit Management
Strong business acumen and functional finance process knowledge, including period close, reconciliations, and reporting
Demonstrated success in onsite client-facing roles, with sensitivity to business priorities, culture, and communication styles
Excellent verbal/written communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working within global delivery modelscoordinating with offshore/remote teams and managing distributed workloads
Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability; ability to balance urgency with quality in production support
Adept at supporting system upgrades, incremental enhancements, and testing cycles
Proven documentation and training experience, able to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences
Oracle Cloud Financials certification strongly preferred; prior Big Four or large consulting experience a plus
