Job Title : Lead Oracle DBA
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Database Management: Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain large-scale Oracle databases (12c, 19c+) on-premise and in .
- High Availability & DR: Implement and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and backup/recovery (RMAN).
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize complex SQL, identify bottlenecks, and tune database/OS/network performance.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies, manage encryption (TDE), auditing, and user access, adhering to standards like , .
- Automation: Develop scripts (Shell, PL/SQL, Python) and use tools (OEM, Ansible) for automated tasks.
- Cloud & Engineered Systems: Administer Oracle Exadata, (VM, BM, Autonomous DB), AWS/Azure knowledge is a plus.
- Leadership: Lead incident response, mentor junior DBAs, manage projects, document processes, and collaborate with development/infra teams.
- Capacity Planning: Forecast storage and resource needs for future growth.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 10+ years as Oracle DBA, with leadership/team lead experience.
- Technical: Oracle 12c/19c, RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, OCI, Exadata, Performance Tuning, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, OEM.
- Cloud: Strong OCI, with AWS/Azure knowledge a bonus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, ability to work under pressure/on-call.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/JIRA is often required.
