Summary:
This position is intended for individuals with prior education/experience in the fields of electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering as well as advanced electronics. Applies individual efforts toward managing team members and supports the US Government and subsystem contractors. Performs hardness and EMI/EMC assessments at the system and subsystem-levels. Evaluates proposals and/or recommended changes to the weapon system for hardness and EMI/EMC. Evaluates the adequacy of test planning, surveillance testing, hardness and EMI/EMC evaluation (including the effects of configuration changes), and FDE at the system and subsystem-levels. Performs studies and validates subsystem inspections and tests to provide assurance that survivability values for configured modification/substitution items (including developmental test and evaluation of responses to nuclear and conventional environments) are sufficient to prevent degradation of hardness. Reviews actions recommended by subsystem contractors as required to prevent degradation to hardness and ensure continued EMC. Provides recommendations to maintain nuclear hardness, Key Performance Parameters for subsystem modifications, EMC, and weapon system capabilities.

  • ICBM experience
  • Acquisitions knowledge/background required

Education/Certifications
  • BS degree in STEM-related field + 10 years of experience OR MS degree + 7 years of experience OR PHD + 4 years of experience.
  • Must be registered/certified or equivalent as appropriate for profession.
