Job Summary:

Location : Woodbridge, NJ or NYC

The Senior Real-Time Collaboration Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and support of real-time collaboration applications, including Microsoft Teams Telephony, Teams Meetings, WebEx Meetings, Zoom Meetings, and other enterprise audio/video technologies. This role ensures seamless, reliable communication and collaboration across the organization.

Major Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, monitor, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams deployments (telephony and meetings).
    • MS Teams Rooms and Boards
    • WebEx Rooms and Boards
    • NEAT videoconferencing hardware
    • Desk phones, soft clients, and web clients
    • Third-party video conferencing units
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams with third-party real-time collaboration platforms (Cisco UCM, WebEx, Zoom).
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement activities, including purchase orders for equipment and services.
  • Partner with business telecom operations on connectivity solutions for new and existing services.
  • Ensure maximum system uptime and reliability, supporting both business and after-hours requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and system/network diagrams.
  • Perform telecom wiring, rack equipment installations, and cabling; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required.
  • Provide off-hours and remote support as needed.
  • Travel between New York and New Jersey offices as required.
  • Lead and manage projects, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, execution, and post-project reviews.
  • Act as final escalation point for the Service Desk on collaboration-related issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise collaboration, telephony, audio, and video technologies in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams Telephony, Teams Meetings, WebEx, and Zoom.
  • Experience with SIP audio/video integrations and multi-point conferencing solutions.
  • Proficiency with real-time collaboration protocols: SIP, H.323, MGoogle Cloud Platform, SCCP, H.264, H.265, WebRTC, E.164+.
  • Strong understanding of PBX, dial plans, VoIP, and QoS concepts.
  • Familiarity with Cisco collaboration technologies: CUCM, Telepresence, Expressway, SIP Trunks, Contact Center.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.
  • Scripting and automation experience preferred.
  • Vendor certifications and/or specialized training in collaboration systems a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced trading/market data environment.
