We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Database Developer to support our Customer Automations AI initiative. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement scalable and secure cloud-based database solutions using Azure technologies. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on database development experience, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Database Design & Development
Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other Azure data services.
2. Performance Optimization
Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance to ensure high scalability, availability, and reliability.
3. ETL / Data Integration
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar Azure tools.
4. Security & Compliance
Implement robust data security practices, including access controls (RBAC), encryption, and compliance with data privacy standards.
5. AI/ML Integration (If Applicable)
Work with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to integrate database solutions with AI models using Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, or proprietary tools (e.g., WTI AI technology).
6. Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve database issues to maintain consistent performance and data integrity.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable database solutions.
8. Documentation
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of database designs, configurations, and processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience
Proven experience as a Database Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services.
Technical Skills
Strong SQL and T-SQL proficiency; exposure to NoSQL platforms is a plus.
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and related services.
Solid understanding of DBMS concepts and best practices.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) is beneficial.
Experience with proprietary WTI AI technology is preferred if it s a key component of the project.
