Location: Austin, TX (Local candidates only within 50-mile radius)
Work Schedule: Hybrid 3 days onsite (Mon, Tue, Thu) & 2 days remote (Wed, Fri)
Interview Mode: Microsoft Teams

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong data analysis expertise to support . The selected candidate will play a critical role in analyzing existing business requirements, documenting data flows, and identifying areas for improvement.

This role requires someone skilled in SQL, data modeling, data workflows, and reporting, who can also translate complex business needs into Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current business requirements, processes, and data flows to identify gaps and pain points.

  • Write clear, comprehensive business requirements, Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Design and optimize data workflows and mapping processes.

  • Develop and maintain data documentation (data dictionaries, BRDs, mapping specifications).

  • Present data visualizations and dashboards to communicate trends, KPIs, and system performance.

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and data-focused meetings to gather requirements and drive decisions.

Candidate Skills & Qualifications

13+ years Hands-on experience as a Business/Data Analyst in IT with strong analytical and documentation skills.
13+ years Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to solve complex business problems.
10+ years Designing and optimizing data workflows using modeling/mapping tools.
10+ years Writing Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria.
8+ years Creating & maintaining data dictionaries, BRDs, and data mapping specs.
8+ years Designing dashboards & visual data models for reporting and timelines.
Strong multitasking and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple data initiatives.
