Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Business Systems Analyst for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in San Francisco, CA .

Responsibilities :
  • The Business Systems Analyst serves as a key member of the IT Functional Team, providing analytical, technical, and operational support for Oracle Cloud and boundary systems. The incumbent partners with campus stakeholders to analyze business processes, define system requirements, and ensure that HR technology solutions effectively support institutional goals. The position supports configuration, data integrity, and ongoing maintenance across core ERP functions.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Operations) and technical teams, the incumbent assists in resolving production issues ranging from routine to complex; analyzes new business requirements; creates specifications and documentation to address those requirements; formalizes business process workflows; facilitates process improvement initiatives; conducts system testing (including cross-functional integration and end-user acceptance testing); and provides strategic insights on HCM and workforce management trends.
  • In collaboration with HR leadership and IT partners, the position contributes to the broader HR technology ecosystem that enables the full range of human resources activities, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, learning, talent development, compensation, and workforce administration. The role ensures continuity, compliance, and optimization of HR systems through business process analysis, system configuration, and functional integration across platforms.
  • Involves technology-based analysis of business practices, processes and problems; developing solutions which may involve process design, data and information architecture, software development and policy or procedural changes; creating specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating requirements against needs; designing details of automated systems; developing user interface design; planning and executing unit integration and end-user acceptance testing; may develop training materials for system implementation. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues.
Required Skills:
  • Very strong SQL. Must be able to validate HR and Payroll data, troubleshoot integrations, and understand complex table relationships.
  • Direct UCPath experience including data model familiarity, funding uploads, combo codes, and payroll or GL validation.
  • HR and Payroll system experience such as PeopleSoft HCM or Oracle HCM, with support in HR, Payroll, Workforce Administration, or Benefits.
  • Ability to work with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to gather requirements, document processes, perform testing, and support production issues.
