Job Description

Danfoss is seeking full time (40 hours per week) Manufacturing Engineers for their Utica, NY location. The rate of pay is $80,000-$106,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

Use best engineering and manufacturing practices to improve manufacturing processes; apply Lean or Six Sigma methods to increase yield, efficiency, and OEE with effective root cause problem solving. Duties: implement new production lines and process improvements; assess production equipment, hardware, and tooling; recommend repairs or replacement; install new equipment and train others to use it correctly and safely; analyze data to find trends and suggest process changes to solve problems; write work instructions and train employees on new or updated processes; participate in EHS actions to improve safety on the shop floor; lead and work with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects that meet EHS, production, quality, and cost savings goals on time; ensure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurate for future reference and customer / end user requirements; prepare and present product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trends; lead, develop, and mentor other manufacturing engineers to create a high performing engineering team; help create training program for new engineers. 10 openings.

Background & Skills

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing/Systems Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or Engineering Science (Robotics).
  • In lieu of master's degree, bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing/Systems Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or Engineering Science (Robotics) plus 2 years experience with lean manufacturing and value stream mapping and 2 years experience with SAP or other manufacturing execution systems.
