Title: Engineering Technician - Onsite

Description:


The manager is primary focused on getting candidates who are more mechanically inclined and who have solid computer skills for this particular role on the team.

Job Duties:
1. Perform inspection and test as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.
2. Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
3. Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.
4. Conduct manual test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions.
5. Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
6. Update test documentation when required for prototype products.
7. Provide training to less experienced technicians when required.
8. Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.

Required Education:
A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience

Required Skills:
1. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors
2. Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
3. Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause
4. Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
5. Ability to read basic engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
6. Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets
7. Ability to assemble and disassemble products
8. Ability to maintain lab equipment
9. Ability to perform basic mechanical work
10. Ability to work with minimal supervision
11. Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs without assistance

Required Experience:
Required: Minimum one year of related experience
Preferred: Three or more years of related experience
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors
