Job Overview:

This role involves integrating mechanisms, sensors, and electromechanical components while ensuring designs meet functional, cosmetic, and manufacturability requirements. You will also play a key role in prototyping, testing, and failure analysis to ensure product excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity, and technology teams to define the vision of a product.
- Explore multiple product form factors and develop new product architectures.
- Define kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization.
- Integrate mechanisms, sensors, and other electromechanical components.
- Partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize designs for function, cosmetics, and manufacturability.
- Ensure design meets requirements through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering design role.
- Strong engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, kinematics and mechanism design, and manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment and dependably complete individual work.
- Prior experience in other relevant industries that promote diverse perspectives and approaches to problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a closely related major.
