Job Overview:
In this highly impactful role, you will use your mechanical design engineering skills to bring innovative products to life. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product visions, explore new form factors, and develop cutting-edge product architectures. This role involves integrating mechanisms, sensors, and electromechanical components while ensuring designs meet functional, cosmetic, and manufacturability requirements. You will also play a key role in prototyping, testing, and failure analysis to ensure product excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity, and technology teams to define the vision of a product.
• Explore multiple product form factors and develop new product architectures.
• Define kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization.
• Integrate mechanisms, sensors, and other electromechanical components.
• Partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize designs for function, cosmetics, and manufacturability.
• Ensure design meets requirements through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering design role.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, kinematics and mechanism design, and manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
• Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment and dependably complete individual work.
• Prior experience in other relevant industries that promote diverse perspectives and approaches to problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a closely related major.
