Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Consultant with strong experience across Microsoft Power Platform, Azure OpenAI, and Copilot Studio. This role combines functional ideation with hands-on technical build capabilities.
The consultant will work directly with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, rapidly prototype AI-enabled workflows, and demonstrate "art of the possible" solutions leveraging Microsoft's modern AI + automation ecosystem. Prototypes must be technically sound, scalable, and designed to transition seamlessly into production if selected.
This is a fast-paced, innovation-driven role ideal for someone who excels at conceptualizing, engineering, and iterating solutions in short cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Partner with business users to ideate and identify high-value opportunities for automation, AI assistance, and workflow transformation.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand current processes, pain points, and potential areas for Copilot/AI enhancement
- Translate business concepts into actionable functional requirements and solution blueprints.
- Present prototypes to diverse business groups to showcase potential use cases and gather feedback.
- Advise stakeholders on feasibility, scalability, and alignment with enterprise automation strategy.
Technical Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on engineer developing rapid prototypes (1 3 day build cycles) using:
- Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
- Azure OpenAI services (prompt flows, embeddings, generative AI, orchestrations)
- Microsoft Copilot Studio (bot building, custom copilots, generative actions, plugins)
- Build and iterate prototypes that can scale into production-grade solutions.
- Integrate automation and AI capabilities with enterprise systems where applicable (Dataverse, SharePoint, Azure services, APIs).
- Develop reusable components, templates, and patterns to accelerate subsequent prototypes.
- Ensure adherence to security, governance, M365/Power Platform best practices, and responsible AI standards.
- Document architecture, flows, data models, and technical assumptions for each prototype.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
Core Platforms
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) - expert-level design and development experience.
- Azure OpenAI - hands-on experience building generative AI solutions, including:
- Prompt engineering
- Embedding models
- Chat completion / orchestration
- Retrieval-augmented workflows
- Microsoft Copilot Studio - ability to build custom copilots, conversational flows, plugins, generative responses, and integrations.
Hands-On Engineering
- Experience designing and developing working prototypes within 1 3 day build cycles.
- Ability to convert conceptual ideas into functional, demonstrable product experiences.
- Integration experience with REST APIs, Azure services, third-party connectors, and Dataverse.
Expected Deliverables
- Rapid-build prototypes (1 3 day cycles) demonstrating new automation/AI concepts.
- Architecture diagrams, flows, and technical documentation.
- Functional requirement summaries and ideation outputs.
- Demo presentations for business stakeholders.
- Production-scalable solutions where prototypes are approved for implementation.
