Job Details

We are seeking a Systems Administrator for a staff augmentation role within its Office of Information Technology, specifically the Strategic Architecture Services team. This is a full-time, in-office position in Tallahassee, FL, running from 09/01/2025 to 06/30/2026 (with possible renewal based on performance and budget).

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration & Support of Power Platform and SharePoint:
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Power Platform applications, SharePoint (on-premises and online), ensuring security, availability, and high performance.
  • Provide daily operational support, maintenance, and administration for SharePoint Servers.
  • Monitor, resolve, and document issues or incidents related to Power Platform and SharePoint regarding functionality, permissions, and access.

Project Involvement:

  • Work on projects and issues ranging from medium to high complexity.
  • Assist with upgrades, enhancements, and the integration of new systems related to SharePoint and Power Platform.
  • Analyze workflow, access, and security requirements; consult with users to determine new system specifications.

User Support & Documentation:

  • Provide technical consultation and support for end users and staff.
  • Assist users with basic Power Platform app development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Maintain and create technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Conduct user training sessions and develop training materials.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Perform regular audits and usage monitoring for optimal SharePoint performance.
  • Generate regular reports regarding platform usage, issues, and ticket resolutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Interface with OIT members, end-users, and other business offices for integration and solutions development.
  • Participate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Other Duties:

  • Assist with IT support functions beyond assigned systems as required.
  • Support other IT staff and developers as needed.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and adhere to standards and policies.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficient in SharePoint administration (both online and on-premises), including site management, permissions, and content management.
  • Experience supporting applications in the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office365, OneDrive, Teams, and other Microsoft products.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills for system, application, and integration issues.
  • Understanding of governance and compliance within Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with basic network concepts, IIS Administration (preferred), and web app troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong documentation, research, and customer service abilities.

Required Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent professional work experience.
