Job Title: Sr. Data Consultant

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (W2)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Consultant to join our client s team in Chicago, IL on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset and hands-on experience in guiding enterprise data initiatives from conception through execution.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in defining end-to-end Data Strategy for enterprise clients, coupled with the ability to collaborate with and provide direction to Data Engineers to implement that vision effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead enterprise-level data strategies, aligning business goals with data architecture, governance, and integration best practices.
• Partner with key business and technical stakeholders to assess current data ecosystems and recommend scalable solutions.
• Provide actionable guidance and leadership to Data Engineers during the implementation of data pipelines, transformations, and warehousing solutions.
• Develop and present data roadmaps, maturity assessments, and optimization strategies to leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive data initiatives forward.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing and delivering comprehensive end-to-end data strategies across mid-to-large organizations.
• Solid understanding of modern data architecture principles (e.g., cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, ELT/ETL processes).
• Experience collaborating with or leading Data Engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure, SQL, and data visualization platforms is a plus.
