Job Description:
Client seeking a highly skilled and experienced IoT Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Network Routing (WAN Technologies). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and certifying network frameworks for IoT integration across campus and branch networks. This is a hands-on technical role requiring experience with Cisco SD-Access (SDA), 802.1x/NAC, and Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) automation and management.
The candidate must possess a strong understanding of hardware/software integration for IoT endpoints and demonstrate capabilities in designing, executing, and managing data gathering and analytics tests in a lab environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must, as the role involves frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive lab framework to integrate IoT endpoints with enterprise campbranch networks.
- Certify and validate hardware and software components related to network and IoT connectivity.
- Identify, simulate, and test diverse communication scenarios between IoT edge and endpoint devices.
- Create, execute, and oversee the testing of data aggregation and analytics capabilities.
- Implement and troubleshoot SD-Access (SDA), 802.1x/NAC, TrustSec, and segmentation strategies.
- Configure and manage Cisco IOS-XE-based platforms, including micro and macro segmentation.
- Use Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for managing, automating, and monitoring SD-Access networks.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams, project stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing frameworks, scenarios, and results.
Professional Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Network Routing (WAN Technologies).
- 12+ years of overall experience as an IoT Platform Engineer or in similar network-related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-Access (SDA), 802.1x, Network Admission Control (NAC), and TrustSec.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS-XE, DNAC, and related automation tools.
- Proficient in configuring micro/macro segmentation in enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of data flow between IoT edge devices and enterprise networks.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex network scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
