RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Windows System Administrator in Golden, CO.
Summary:
As a System Administrator you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networking hardware, virtualization environments, and cloud systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure uptime, optimize performance, and support a growing global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
* Manage virtual infrastructure using VMware vSphere, including provisioning and backups
* Support Citrix environments and remote desktop services (if applicable)
* Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Cisco switches, routers, and Palo Alto firewalls
* Assist with cloud-based platforms such as Office 365, Azure AD, or SharePoint
* Implement and maintain system security best practices, patches, and updates
* Support help desk escalation tickets and provide Tier 2/3 technical support
* Document procedures, system configurations, and operational playbooks
* Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
* Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and business teams to support company goals
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of experience in a System Administrator or similar role
* Proficient with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
* Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
* Able to maintain Windows Active Directory (Azure AD Connect) and related tools
* Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and automation tools
* Excellent documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, V
* Experience supporting hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
* Exposure to endpoint management systems (e.g., Intune, SCCM)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
