RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Sierra Vista, AZ that is seeking an Associate Network Administrator responsible for the daily operations, administration, maintenance, and security of WAN infrastructure-including routers, firewalls, Ethernet switches, and related systems. This role involves system monitoring, configuration, issue resolution, patching, and performance tuning to ensure a highly available and secure network. The Associate Network Administrator will also provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers, following established processes and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and support WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
* Perform regular monitoring, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting of network systems
* Implement network configurations and assist in network upgrades
* Maintain network documentation and follow ITIL-based operational procedures
* Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and DoD 8570.01 standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant professional experience and a Security+ certification, or Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field, 2+ years of relevant professional experience and Security+ certification, or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field and Security+ certification
* Prior to start: Must hold a current Security+ CE (IAT Level II) certification
* Within 60 days: Must obtain a CSSP Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CySA+)
* Within 180 days: Must obtain a Computing Environment certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ CE)
* Preferred: CCNA certification
* Network device configuration and troubleshooting fundamentals
* Understanding of IPv4 addressing and subnetting
* Familiarity with basic network services: SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP
* Foundational cybersecurity principles
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
* Working knowledge of IT industry terminology and problem-solving methodologies
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
