Job Details

A healthcare organization based in Bucks County, PA is looking to hire a full-time Network Support Engineer on a 6-month contract with the potential for conversion. You will be working on a system-wide infrastructure upgrade project, replacing LAN/WAN technology across multiple hospital and clinical sites in the region. This is a hands-on, field-focused role ideal for someone with solid networking fundamentals and previous experience in consulting or client-facing environments.

You'll be provided with a project plan and be responsible for executing network migrations at various healthcare facilities. Each site migration typically spans 3-5 days. The environment includes a mix of technologies, with a strong presence of Extreme Networks equipment. While specific hardware experience is flexible, familiarity with routing protocols-particularly OSPF-is important.

Certifications such as CCNA, Extreme Networks, or CWNA are a plus, but not required. Junior to mid-level candidates with solid networking skills and client experience are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years Network Support or Engineering experience
  • LAN/WAN technology migration experience
  • Routing protocols (OSPF preferred)
  • Experience with Extreme Networks and/or Cisco
  • VLANs, Routing & Switching
  • Comfortable working in a field deployment role
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Prior experience in consulting or project-based environments
  • Fully vaccinated or able to prove exemption (hospital requirement)

Tech Breakdown
  • 60% Network Migration (Extreme, Cisco, General LAN/WAN)
  • 40% Network Support & Troubleshooting

Daily Responsibilities
  • 70% Onsite Network Migration & Deployment
  • 30% Documentation and Remote Troubleshooting Support
