Job Title: Senior Microservices Developer

Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid- 3 Days onsite a week)

Job description:

  • Lead the design and development of robust, scalable Java microservices, guaranteed delivery solution using Kafka, Rabbit MQ, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide North Star Architecture (NSA) standards.
  • Serve as a technical authority on Java-based architecture, advocating best practices for system design, coding, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to define technical direction and contribute to the overall enterprise architecture roadmap.
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Conduct design and code reviews, enforcing high-quality coding standards and architectural compliance.
  • Partner directly with clients and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Own the full SDLC, from requirement gathering through to production support.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution across system components.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance system performance and design.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have 8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Deep expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
  • Hands-on experience with North Star Architecture (NSA) concepts, frameworks, and enterprise alignment.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling for microservices.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading technical teams.
  • Outstanding client communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work full-time onsite in Miami, FL location.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with event-driven architecture and technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with API gateways, service meshes, and observability tools (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Exposure to DevSecOps, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and security best practices.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience with distributed teams.
