Asset Management firm in Midtown NY
The primary responsibilities of the IT Support Analyst are to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide systems and network support
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software for employees
- Respond to Tier 2 help desk tickets
- Escalate support issues to appropriate levels for resolution assistance if unable to resolve
- Communicate with IT Management regarding outstanding issues
- Perform necessary tasks to resolve and close calls in a timely manner
- Train internal end-users on system and software basics
- Troubleshooting skills for a host of peripherals and the use of command line.
- Physical capability to lift and carry 50 lbs in order to carry and set up computers when necessary
- Maintain and promote the high standards of the department set by the IT Management
Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in IT/IS preferred
- One or more IT related Industry Certifications, training, or equivalent job experience is a plus
- 2+ yrs. in a high-paced technical support environment with an understanding of the essential expectations of the job and bring valuable knowledge and experience to the company (Will see new grad with internships)
- Travel to other corporate offices may be required (up to 15%)
- Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, and to meet agreed upon deadlines
- Good knowledge of, and experience with, Windows 10 and Microsoft M365 is required to support the company standard of using the Microsoft family of operating systems and products
- Experience supporting Windows, OSX and iOS operating systems
- Basic understanding of WAN / LAN infrastructure, and Windows servers (Active Directory) and messaging (Exchange)
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and non-verbal)
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to work in multi-task working conditions with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem resolution for a production environment
- Must be highly self-motivated, require little or no supervision and demonstrate a consistently strong initiative
- Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Ability to work as part of a team of engineers working across several different complex application platforms
