Position Title: Machine Learning Engineer

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and scaling advanced machine learning (ML) solutions in domains such as computer vision, perception, and localization. The ideal candidate will automate and optimize the end-to-end ML lifecycle using expertise in experimental methodologies, statistics, and software development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand current and future ML requirements.
  • Design and develop innovative ML models and algorithms to solve complex problems in structured and unstructured environments.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize scalable ML pipelines, architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Apply statistical modeling techniques (e.g., decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis) to improve system performance, data quality, and accuracy.
  • Adapt ML techniques to emerging areas such as virtual/augmented reality, object detection, tracking, classification, and terrain mapping.
  • Train and re-train ML models as needed to maintain performance and relevance.
  • Deploy ML models into production environments and run simulations to test various scenarios.
  • Automate model deployment and lifecycle management using Agile, CI/CD/CT, and MLOps principles.
  • Implement model versioning and traceability to ensure modularity and consistency across environments.
  • Required Skills:
    • Python (Intermediate):
      • Data extraction and quality profiling
      • Data transformation (e.g., aggregation, normalization using pandas)
      • Data visualization and statistical analysis (e.g., correlations, pivot tables)
    • Forecasting & Applied Statistics:
      • Experience with tools such as scikit-learn, statsmodels, Excel Solver
      • Exposure to Python optimization libraries (e.g., PuLP, OR-Tools)
    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with SQL and database querying
    • Familiarity with AI-powered development tools (e.g., VS Code, Jupyter Notebook, GitHub Copilot)
    • Knowledge of data visualization libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
    • Experience with Tableau or Power BI
    • Understanding of simulation, optimization, and scenario analysis
    • Ability to translate technical findings into executive-level business recommendations
    Required Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in automotive or other professional environments
    • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling
    • Demonstrated use of AI tools for research, problem-solving, and code generation
    • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
    • Ability to deliver insights under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
    Preferred Experience:
    • Launch experience in automotive new model programs
    • Experience using AI models to drive research and deliver solutions
    • Exposure to forecasting and optimization tools and techniques
    Education:
    • Required: Bachelor's Degree
    • Preferred: Advanced coursework or certifications in ML, AI, or data science
    Additional Information:
    • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days/week in office)

      • AI-Assisted Research: Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for competitive analysis and trend research

      • Presentation Development: Create executive-level presentations with clear, data-driven recommendations
      • AI-Enhanced Deliverables: Use AI assistants to refine narratives, validate assumptions, and troubleshoot code
