We are looking for Technical Writer - Intermediate for our client in Markham, ON

Job Description:
  • The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing and maintaining structured content using DITA methodologies and XML tools.
  • This role involves working closely with engineering and product teams to create high-quality, reusable documentation in multiple formats, ensuring clarity and technical accuracy.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Experience with structured content development using DITA methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in CCMS tool usage and knowledge of DITA concepts, keys, content reuse, and conditions
  • Proficient in XML authoring and handling multiple publication output formats (HTML, PDF)
  • Strong proofreading and copyediting skills
Nice to Have:
  • Engineering qualification with semiconductor or rack/system-level experience
Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and publish technical content following DITA standards and structured authoring principles
  • Work with CCMS tools for managing documentation and reusing modular content effectively
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate, detailed documentation for complex technical products
  • Ensure quality and consistency across all deliverables through proofreading and adherence to style guidelines
  • Manage multiple documentation projects with changing deadlines and priorities
  • Deliver documentation in various formats, including PDF, HTML, and context-sensitive online help
  • Maintain version control using tools such as SharePoint, JIRA, or Confluence
Qualification and Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 2 4 years of technical writing experience in a technical or engineering domain
Skills:
  • Strong writing, copyediting, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, XSL, Perl, or other scripting languages
  • Understanding of DITA framework, CCMS tools, and XML editors
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
