Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mainframe Programmer

 

Position Type: Full-Time Contract

Duration: 6+ months

Location: 100% Remote WFH (Brookfield, WI)

 

As a Mainframe Programmer, you will:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining products.
  • Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
  • Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability, and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
  • Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements.
  • Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience at the forefront.
  • Takes feedback from code review and applies changes to meet standards.
  • Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
  • Exhibit focuses on software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.
  • Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation.
  • Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Mainframe DB2, COBOL, JCL, CA-7, CICS, Production Support Experience
  • Experience working/managing offshore Teams.
  • The ICS testing enablement management (ITEM) teams are part of a shared service that supports (enables) ICS testing.
  • Our vision is to enhance and enable ICS data and environment testing methodologies (inclusive of end-to-end business and technical flows), support continuous integration, and deliver for all testing partners in an agile culture.
  • In the role one will provide data conditioning and support to project journeys and support the batch execution in 5 environments.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $55 – $60 Per Hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
