Security Analyst (SOC/Splunk)--100% REMOTE--WI residents only

Job Details




We are seeking a Security Analyst II to support critical initiatives at the organization. This is a remote opportunity only for current Wisconsin residents and is focused on advancing the org's enterprise security efforts.


In this role, you will work closely with the Security Audit and Compliance team to optimize and expand logging through Splunk Cloud, support SOC operations, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure systems and controls meet regulatory and internal security standards.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage and onboard log sources, troubleshoot ingestion and service issues




  • Develop alerts, dashboards, reports, and correlation searches within Splunk Cloud




  • Support regulatory compliance efforts (CJIS, FERPA, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)




  • Collaborate with project teams to assess and improve IT security controls




  • Assist in documenting IT policies, self-assessments, and external audit responses




Required Qualifications:




  • 5+ years of Splunk Cloud experience




  • 5+ years of Security Operations Center (SOC) experience




  • Strong technical communication, documentation, and time management skills




Preferred Experience:




  • Microsoft 365 Security tools




  • Cloud container security




  • AI/ML-related security practices
