IT Inventory & Warehouse Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Inventory & Warehouse Operations Specialist to oversee the management, movement, and tracking of IT assets. This role combines hands-on warehouse operations with inventory control, vendor coordination, and process oversight to ensure smooth and efficient IT logistics.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IT hardware and peripherals
  • Implement and maintain asset tracking processes using CMDB and ServiceNow
  • Reconcile stock levels regularly and investigate or resolve discrepancies

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise warehouse staff and temporary associates
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of IT equipment
  • Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for storage, handling, and distribution
  • Organize warehouse layout to maximize efficiency, safety, and accessibility
  • Manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all deliveries and dispatches

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work directly with vendors for procurement, receiving, and delivery of IT assets
  • Partner with IT Service Management and Infrastructure teams to support asset allocation and deployment needs

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, safety, and asset management protocols
  • Produce regular reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and opportunities for cost optimization

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Hyattsville, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
