UC/Network Cisco Engineer

About the Role

TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled UC/Network Cisco Engineer to join our team supporting a major healthcare client in New York City. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale cloud migration initiative, supporting over 4,500 users. You'll work alongside a team of 16 engineers, contributing to the design, development, and support of advanced Unified Communications and Contact Center solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Cisco UC and Genesys PureCloud solutions.
  • Develop and maintain IVR and call flow routing for DTMF and advanced speech applications.
  • Lead API/Web Service integrations with backend systems.
  • Support cloud migration and enablement of contact center solutions.
  • Configure and maintain LAN, voice, and data networks, including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Perform system tuning, capacity analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide second-level support to network operations and service desk teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Cisco UC (CUCM, UCCX) and enterprise call center environments.
  • 2+ years of hands-on development using VXML, Java, .NET, J2EE, JSP, and database technologies.
  • Strong experience with Genesys PureCloud: development, configuration, deployment, and CRM integration.
  • Experience with TUI (Telephony User Interface) design and ACD call flows.
  • Solid network engineering: routing, switching, QoS, and firewall configuration (Cisco, Palo Alto).
  • Familiarity with AWS, Agile/SAFe methodologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with Conversational AI, Chatbots, and Virtual Assistants is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification.
  • Experience with cloud automation, microservices, and cloud design patterns.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
