Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Franklin or Madison County, Ohio
  • Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (Location TBD after candidate screening, but within Franklin or Madison County).
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Proximity Requirement: Candidates must be located within the state of Ohio to be considered.
  • Mode of Interview: Onsite (Location TBD after candidate screening).

Essential Expertise and Scope of Work

The Cyber Security Engineer must possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience across the entire spectrum of security operations, from proactive scanning and risk prioritization to incident response.

1. Vulnerability Management & Assessment (10+ Years Required)

  • Vulnerability Scanning: Perform scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across networks, servers, and endpoints.
  • Tool Expertise: 10 years of experience administering Qualys (Required).
  • Analysis & Prioritization: Analyze scan results, validate findings, and prioritize remediation based on risk and exploitability (Required).
  • Reporting: Develop vulnerability metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reports.
  • Remediation & Patching: 10 years of experience with remediation documentation and patch management processes (Required). Partner with IT and application teams to coordinate remediation and verify fixes.

2. Security Engineering & Incident Response (10+ Years Required)

  • Network Security: 10 years of experience with Network Security and threat detection (Required).
  • Incident Response: 10 years of experience with incident response processes (Required). Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
  • Planning & Implementation: Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of data, systems, and networks.
  • Standards & Best Practices: Evaluating the organization's security needs and establishing best practices and standards accordingly.
