Our Client, An International Airport, is seeking an Procurement Manager

Location: Jamaica, Queens
Position Type: IT Full Time

Summary:
Who you are:

You are a dynamic Procurement Manager who can drive strategic planning and execution of our procurement operations, aligning them with NTO's overarching plan.
You will play a critical component of our operations team and will demand a strong foundation in supply chain management and procurement strategies.
You are ambitious and can implement and lead procurement strategies that support the New Terminal Construction and Operations.
You have the drive to establish, implement, and continuously monitor our supply chain policies, protocols, and standard methodologies.
You must possess an innovative thinking and a solution-oriented mindset to ensure the procurement framework is efficient, cost-effective, and supportive of our construction and operational goals.

What Will You Do:
* Act as the single point of contact for the region regarding strategic procurement and supplier management.
* Collaborate with department managers in establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, assessing their performance and compliance to drive optimal performance.
* Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring they align with our organization's needs and goals.
* Work closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, Team leaders, and other partners, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve common objectives.
* Build and maintain robust relationships with internal team members and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and mutual growth.
* Source, evaluate, and select suppliers (excluding sub-consultants) based on their ability to meet our needs and standards.
* Lead and administer the supplier management portal, ensuring it is an effective tool for managing our supplier relationships.
* Spearhead the process to onboard suppliers to our supplier management tools, ensuring they understand and comply with our processes and standards.
* Oversee the Purchase Order process, from generation to fulfillment, ensuring it operates smoothly and effectively.
* Collaborate with internal teams to validate documentation, ensuring its accuracy and compliance with our standards and legal requirements.
* Provide accurate reporting on procurement activities, ensuring stakeholders are informed and able to make informed decisions.
* Adhere to various funding requirements, such as FAA Grants, TSA Grants, TIFIA, etc., ensuring our operations remain compliant and financially sound.
* Track and report key functional metrics to identify opportunities to reduce expenses, improve effectiveness, and add value to our operations.
* Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving and innovation to drive improved performance across our procurement activities.
* Track and measure the effectiveness of incentive programs that are defined within contracts, using this information to optimize these programs and our relationships with suppliers.

What are we looking for :
* A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related fields.
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
* At least 8 years of experience in Aviation or Building Management.
* Proven experience in managing relationships with suppliers, including onboarding.
* Knowledge of integrating suppliers into project activities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
* Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership abilities.
* Excellent organizational skills and creative problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse, distributed team environment.
* Comfortable working independently and navigating complex environments.
* Experience in a fast growing environment.

Nice-to-Have but Not -Must-Have
* Experience with P3 (public-private partnership) projects.
* Involvement in construction projects.
* Familiarity with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) funding guidelines

Compensation: $160k + bonus
