Paratransit Scheduling Manager (Full-Time)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paratransit Scheduling Manager to oversee the daily scheduling and dispatch operations. This position is responsible for ensuring on-time performance, supporting real-time scheduling needs, maintaining compliance with contract requirements, and delivering excellent service to our passengers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in transit operations, is well-versed in Trapeze PASS or similar software, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on-time performance (OTP) meets or exceeds contractual standards.
  • Ensure productivity (TPRH) meets or exceeds contractual standards
  • Handle scheduling adjustments in response to emergencies, vehicle issues, or traffic delays.
  • Assign same-day trips and will-call trips to optimize system productivity and passenger satisfaction.
  • Monitor operator and trip performance; reassign trips as necessary to maintain service levels.
  • Oversee supervisor calls and provides directions as needed.
  • Assist same day reschedules ensuring productive runs.
  • Document accurately and appropriately daily events related to service.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service disruptions
  • Open and/or close the facility depending on shift assignment.
  • Respond to and investigate dispatch-related complaints.
  • Provide real-time assistance to dispatchers, supervisors, and schedulers.
  • Answer passenger inquiries and provide accurate trip information.
  • Update customer records and communicate changes effectively to relevant teams.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and punctual attendance.
  • Foster a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
  • Handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Directly oversees operations department supervisors.
    • Next/Same Day Supervisors
      • Next/Same Day Schedulers
  • All company policies and procedures are in place and are being followed.
    • Attendance occurrences
    • Payroll submitted and approved in ADP.
      • Next day schedulers
      • Same day schedulers

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Talent Requirements

Industry Experience

  • Proven experience in paratransit scheduling using Trapeze PASS, RideCo, or other industry-recognized scheduling software.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of comprehensive experience in operations management within a transit or transportation environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of combined management or supervisory experience in transit operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software is essential.
  • Management experience is required.
