Job Description:

  • The team is dedicated to delivering the best gaming experiences to billions of users globally. We are embarking on an ambitious multi-year plan to drive significant growth in the multi-billion-dollar business by expanding our multiplatform experiences, game stores, loyalty programs, and various features focused on gamer engagement.
  • As a Researcher, you would work closely with the product team and other researchers to define, conduct and lead consumer facing product research.
  • You will be responsible for running interviews, usability testing, and concept studies to inform upcoming product and features for unreleased features.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct independent research using a variety of qualitative research methods, including but not limited to: interviews, surveys, diary studies, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (design, engineering, and product management) and cross-team to ensure teams make user-centric, data-driven decisions.
  • Deliver high quality research plans and reports that are easily digestible and framed around insights.
  • Independently prioritize work while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations across a range of work streams on a range of trajectories and velocities.
  • Advocate research findings and insights to diverse audiences through written reports and verbal presentations.

Experience:

  • 4 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
  • Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with Engineers, Content Strategists, and Product Managers throughout the UX process.
  • Prior experience in consumer facing products.

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years of work experience in an applied research setting.
  • Ability to independently scope, execute, analyse, synthesize both qualitative and large-scale quantitative studies.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, including experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in games related research is a bonus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
