Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of desks, tables, workstations, storage, and seating solutions, serving a range of industries including K 12 & colleges, education, commercial, healthcare, and food service is seeking to hire a Senior Product Manager to work onsite in their Thorp, WI location. This is a full-time position that will work flexible hours 8:00am-5:00pm M-F, has a salary range of $100K-$120K based on relevant experience, and includes a strong benefits plan as well as ample PTO.

Position Overview

In this position you will drive product success by leveraging data-driven insights, market research, and customer feedback to guide product development and strategy; analyze product performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support of the product lifecycle while aligning products with overall business goals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on market trends, competitor products, and customers needs to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements to existing lines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to manage the product lifecycle from ideation through launch and beyond.
  • Ensure product offerings are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Track and analyze the performance of products across multiple sales channels, focusing on metrics such as sales data, customer feedback, and return rates. Provide recommendations for product enhancements and strategies to increase profitability.
  • Collect, manage, and interpret data to inform decision-making in product development and portfolio management.
  • Develop and use detailed reports and presentations to communicate key insights to stakeholders, leading data-driven product strategy.
  • Meet with end users and utilize customer feedback along with market research to identify unmet needs, pain points, and potential product improvements.
  • Leverage insights to guide product development and suggest new product opportunities.
  • Develop and refine pricing strategies by analyzing market conditions, competitor pricing, and cost structures to ensure competitive and profitable pricing for products.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap. Support the Product Management team in planning and execution of product development projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and adherence to project timelines.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance product management processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness in product development and overall product management.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to manage and optimize product development processes, ensuring project milestones are met and products are delivered on time.
  • Engage with end users of the products, understanding wants, needs and expectations.
  • Visit other company locations, customers, and attend industry events as needed.
  • Travel approximately 20% of the time (there will be some travel to De Pere, WI and Suring, WI initially).


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience with product life cycle management.
  • Product P&L responsibilities experience.
  • Demonstrated success in growing existing and new product lines.
  • Strong background in analyzing market research, competitive analysis, and interpreting consumer behavior to inform product design strategies.
  • Education: Associates degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience converting drawings into accurate renderings of furniture products.
  • Experience working with educational furniture products.
  • Experience working in manufacturing.
  • Technology/Equipment: CRM & ERP Systems. Data Analytic Tools such as SQL, Power BI, etc.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in a business-related field.
