Location: Dallas, TX (100% remote - Only locals)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and manage cloud-native and multi-cloud platforms. This role involves implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and Zero Trust architecture, while applying Site Reliability Engineering practices to deliver resilient and scalable solutions. The engineer will collaborate across teams to optimize performance, enhance system architecture, and drive automation-first practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Lead cloud platform engineering lifecycle: architecture, implementation, documentation, and support.
• Implement cloud architecture best practices for performance, cost, and security (AWS focus; Azure/Google Cloud Platform a plus).
• Integrate cloud services with CI/CD pipelines; work with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Conduct audits, monitoring, and compliance checks using tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or cloud-native solutions.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues.
• Drive automation in provisioning, deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
• Stay updated on cloud trends, tools, and technologies; recommend and implement improvements.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevSecOps, data engineering, infrastructure, and IT operations teams.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in AWS (Azure/Google Cloud Platform experience a plus).
• Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Expertise in microservices/full-stack infrastructure deployment using IaC best practices.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge, including debugging and tool integration.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration.
• Monitoring/logging expertise (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Strong networking, cloud security, and secure software development knowledge.
• Scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Expert, etc.).
