Looking for Contracts Manager (Procurement/Legal)

Functions
- Responsible for end-to-end contract workflow from Intake to Execution
- Review and validate contract request information and coordinate with Contract Requestor for missing information
- Submit contract requests into the CLM system (Coupa) and create workspaces
- Assemble contracts using available templates and appendices
- Provide first-line review of third-party redlines, with minimal supervision, in accordance with established negotiation parameters and attorney guidance. Collaborate with Procurement Category Managers, Line of Business and SME reviewing departments (e.g. Data Privacy, Safety, Quality, IT, etc.) during contract review
- Negotiate with counterparty to completion of contract
- Orchestrate contract approvals, execution, follow-ups throughout workflow
- Input contract key data to support analytics
- Contract types include but not limited to MSAs, Short-term Agreements, SOWs, Amendments, License Agreements, Work orders. Contracts limited to commercial service agreements. Scope does not include clinical contracts or sell-side agreements.
- Maintain deadlines on deliverables and proactively communicate contract status and issues, if any, to relevant internal stakeholders
- Determine optimal contracting vehicle for a transaction (e.g. PO vs. SOW) based on policy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certification required
- 5 to 7 years of contract review experience required
- Pharma / Biotech experience required
- Experience with Coupa or similar Contract Lifecycle Management platform is a plus
- Experience in applying organizational standards, playbooks when drafting contracts and negotiating
- Experience with negotiating agreements with counterparties, in collaboration with Legal, Procurement and Reviewer SMEs
- Ability to understand internal client needs, communicate cross functionally with confidence and diplomacy
