At Nordstrom, we're on a mission to enhance the selling experience for our salespeople across more than 350 stores. Our next generation POS team is looking for a Release Manager to handle the management of Lab devices, Media and data readiness, scheduling, documentation and stakeholder communication. You will play the critical role between the POS Development team and all upstream and downstream partners in the release cycle of our next generation POS system.

We are actively seeking a Systems Analyst to exercise their ability in project management, from planning to release, integration into the full SDLC to drive for improvements in CD and release process. You will drive the incident and problem management when the situation arises, formulated RCA's and backlog creation for process and application improvements. Expertise in SDLC, Continuous Delivery, Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence) Roadmap, and Project Planning and Communication to all levels in the management chain.

This role will be based in Seattle with the expectation of being in the office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the scheduling and availability of lab devices for Non-Prod and QA environments for end to end and production testing. Ensuring the health and stability of the environments throughout the process
  • Validate and maintain test data and test media. Collaborate with partners to ensure the availability of necessary test and data media
  • Works with stakeholders and partner teams on incidents and issues impacting lab stability, follow up with partner teams to influence priority and address issues
  • Coordinate and schedule release dates with all teams
  • Manage and maintain release documentation and processes, testing coordination, automation execution and implementation, and bug tracking and priority
  • Communication to all partner teams on lab issues and concerns. Provide updates on release progress, deployment tracking and dashboarding, and status reports
  • Identify and manage improvements that will improve testing efficiency while driving down testing times
  • Own and run weekly operation meetings, reviewing incidents and prioritizing fixes to drive quicker incident resolution

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in testing within a technology environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in project management tools, JIRA, Confluence, Git, and other relevant software
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC
