Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator who will support our client with managing and maintaining all ACS Oracle Database environments. This role will ensure the smooth, efficient, and secure operation of Oracle Database systems. A successful candidate will be skilled in the design, installation, maintenance, performance tuning, security, and capacity planning of Oracle Database Environments, and be efficient collaborating with other teams to ensure business needs are met.

Duties:

• Manage Oracle RAC 19c environments on Exadata platforms, including installation, configuration, security, maintenance, and performance tuning across production and development systems

• Implement quarterly patches and upgrades for Oracle databases, Grid Infrastructure, and Data Guard configurations in coordination with Oracle Professional Services

• Enable Oracle encryption with Key Vault, collaborate with security teams on OS monitoring, and ensure all changes follow established Change Management procedures

• Maintain Data Guard configurations, perform DR testing, execute backup/recovery operations using Veeam, and manage disaster recovery documentation

• Provide 24x7 database support through system alerts and monitoring, administer Oracle ASM clustered environments, and manage scheduled batch jobs

• Troubleshoot technical issues with vendor escalation as needed, respond to service desk tickets, communicate database outages per protocol, and escalate critical issues to senior management

• Provide technical assistance to development teams and business users while maintaining comprehensive inventory of database environments and software assets

• Available to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 8+ years experience as a Senior Oracle DBA managing large-scale oracle environments with Oracle Data Guard on an Oracle Linux environment.

• 6+ months experience in Shell scripting, Perl, and Python.

• 1+ years experience in supporting and troubleshooting networking services and protocols to support a Linux environment (such as TCP/IP, SSL, SFTH, SSH, Send mail, etc).

• 1+ years experience in migrating database to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud).

• 1+ years experience in supporting Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle RDBMS in Oracle Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing and resolving technical (software, application) problems.
