Akkodis is seeking a Designer for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL(Hybrid). Responsibilities include driving timing closure and performing physical verification with DRC/LVS fixes.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour

Designer job responsibilities include:
- Perform synthesis, floor-planning, and power routing for advanced semiconductor designs.
- Execute place and route, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and drive timing closure to meet performance targets.
- Conduct static timing analysis (STA) and resolve timing violations.
- Carry out physical verification tasks, including DRC and LVS checks, and implement necessary fixes.
- Work on both block-level and top-level physical design, ensuring integration and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design challenges and optimize layout.
- Apply experience with latest technology nodes, such as 22nm, to ensure design scalability and manufacturability.
- Communicate effectively and apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex design issues.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (BE/BTech or ME/MTech).
- Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in physical design and backend engineering.
- Proven expertise in static timing analysis (STA) and physical verification (DRC/LVS) with successful closure.
- Experience working on advanced technology nodes (e.g., 22nm) and both block-level and top-level designs.
