Asset Management Specialist 1
12-24 month contract
Salt Lake City, Utah

The Asset Management Specialist 1 is an intermediate-level role. This position provides asset management functions to enable the management of the Church workforce to acquire, account for, allocate, retire and efficiently utilize computer hardware and software resources under their respective stewardships. The individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify future licenses, subscriptions, cost-allocations, maintenance, and support costs
  • Coordinate with service owners on acquisition, affixing barcode tags, and installing agent for scanning assets
  • Coordinate configuration of Service Catalog items
  • Train others on process updates
  • Support tool enhancements and training
  • Resolve asset management service requests
  • Allocate software licenses and facilitate compliance
  • Analyze asset management process execution including asset data and tagging
  • Identify and report process exceptions
  • Create, update and reconcile asset records including disposal
  • Provide replacement costs for amortized IT assets upon decommissioning
  • Execute cost allocation process and resolve customer questions
  • Facilitate informational requests
  • Respond to vendor audits as directed
  • Inform Vendor Management Office on potential cost savings
  • Consult with Areas on asset management
  • Maintain Service Catalog environment
  • computers. Feet on the ground, not much desk work (someone who knows Microsoft efficiently, inventory managing programs would be a bonus). Working with inventory, packaging, and putting packages away. Modify power cables and receiving inventory.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience

Work Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or information technology discipline

  • Spanish or Portuguese speaking

Worthiness Qualifications:
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
