RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop a scalable Python-based test automation framework for validating data pipelines and reports
* Collaborate closely with data engineers, product owners, and QA teams to define effective test strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage
* Build and maintain test data sets tailored to individual product requirements and make them available to SDETs for functional testing
* Develop and maintain automated test scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and output validation
* Perform in-depth data analysis and validation using SQL across diverse data sources
* Integrate automated tests into pipelines to enable continuous validation and early defect detection
* Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with development teams to drive resolution
* Optionally support and understand existing Java/Selenium-based test frameworks to ensure compatibility and reuse
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on data and ETL pipelines
* Solid experience with SQL for data validation and analysis
* Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools
* Proven proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting
* Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
