Transformation Context
- On-prem to cloud transformation underway; strong need for an architecture-first mindset.
- Mature cloud footprint with significant AWS + Snowflake implementation.
- Heavy usage of Snowflake applications across the organization.
- Source systems remain on-prem, with system of record on mainframe; long-term 2028 goal to modernize.
- Near- to mid-term state will involve running legacy and cloud in parallel.
Data & Platform Landscape
- Enterprise Data Foundation (EDF) built on Snowflake, designed to enable and scale Marketing Cloud capabilities for customers.
- Focus on getting data marketing-ready, not just ingested.
- Core technologies:
o Informatica
o DB2
o IDMC (Informatica Cloud)
Role Focus: Data Architect
- This is a true Data Architect role (not engineering-led).
- Data modeling is essential and a primary requirement.
- Responsibilities center on data design, structure, and scalability.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
- Erwin for modeling and design
- Data design best practices
- Kimball methodologies
- Data Vault modeling
- Port/Portfolio modeling
- Experience with advanced data structures
- Ability to support hybrid environments (legacy + cloud)

- Close partnership with modernization initiatives.
