Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect
Location: Scarborough, ON (Hybrid)
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with strong proficiency in AWS and Azure infrastructure management, Linux/Windows server administration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform. This role involves leading cloud operations, ensuring infrastructure reliability, driving automation, and promoting security best practices across cloud platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance across AWS and Azure services
  • Optimize and manage resources including EC2, S3, Lambda, and other AWS artifacts
  • Implement and uphold cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance auditing
  • Automate infrastructure tasks using AWS tools, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and IaC tools like CloudFormation/Terraform
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage applications in the cloud
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues
  • Conduct disaster recovery drills and backup operations to safeguard data
  • Maintain up-to-date system documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior team members
  • Integrate monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, etc., for performance tracking


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and Azure infrastructure management
  • Experience with Linux/Windows server administration
  • Solid background in Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, ECS, EKS)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace
  • Proficient in scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Strong understanding of networking and security protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability to mentor team members and prioritize tasks effectively
