Data Engineer IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Data Engineer IV to join their team in Mountain View, CA. Preference to be located in the Bay Area.

Duties:
* Data Engineer IV will collaborate with financial team to understand the team's data needs and create self-service and automated data solutions
* Design, build, and optimize scalable Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) processes and data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large datasets from various internal data warehouses
* Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support business data requirements
* As a Data Engineer IV, you will develop integration points to serve data to visualization tools, specifically Tableau and Microsoft Excel Ensure data quality and integrity for the created solutions
* Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, resolving issues and optimizing processes for efficiency

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical field
* 3+ years of experience working with financial related data
* Extensive experience writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures across large, transactional, and analytical databases
* Demonstrated experience in building data structures and APIs/connectors specifically for integration with and consumption by Tableau and Microsoft Excel
* Proficiency with modern ETL/ELT frameworks and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, dbt)
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
* Strong scripting skills in Python for data manipulation and automation
* Desirable Skills: Experience working with data related to Payments, Transactions, and/or Billing Systems (e.g., ACH, credit card processing, cross-border payments)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
