Job Description

The DeskOps Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of corporate applications and desktop infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include handling day to day user issues and escalations, packaging, software deployments and patching standards.
  • Experience with App Volumes Manager to create, provision, assign, update, edit, and delete, and manage AppStacks.
  • Work with application owners to package, script and automate application installs with custom parameters.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Windows operating systems to include application-level support.
  • Administration of monthly patches deployments via SCCM to the VDI environment.
  • Provide support off-hours and remotely (i.e., from home) when needed.
  • Administration of monthly patches deployments via SCCM to the VDI environment.
  • Maintain and support virtual desktop (VDI) platform VMware View brokers, monitor availability and performance of physical and virtual desktop systems.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining desktop images with SCCM 2012. Responsible for creating and maintaining thin client images (Wyse and Client Thin Clients).
  • Create collections and advertisements for mass software distribution using custom scripting where needed.

  • Maintain ongoing communications with support teams regarding application issue resolutions.
  • Candidate must be able to work as part of a team in supporting an enterprise level infrastructure.
  • Serve as the escalation point for IT Operations and Service Desk for OS-related issues.

Skills :

  • Applications: SCCM, Office 365 (2010/2016), OS Deployment, Thin Client Image, VMWare vSphere/Horizon/View, MDOP
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Hardware: Wyse/Client Thin Clients
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting in a mission-critical environment.
  • Good understanding of operating system administration (Windows).
  • Banking and Financial Domain experience is must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting real-time market data and trading.
  • Organized and methodical troubleshooting skills
  • Scripting and automation expertise.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
