Description

We are seeking a talented Network Engineer II to join a high-performing IT infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, and manage local and wide area networks that support both on-premise data centers and cloud environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, ensure network security and performance, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain network systems, infrastructure, and equipment Oversee daily network operations to ensure stability and optimal performance Monitor network utilization, performance, and capacity; recommend and implement improvements Manage network security, including firewall rule modifications, testing, and remediation Support LANs, WANs, Internet/intranet systems, and circuit provisioning for new installations or upgrades Maintain up-to-date network documentation and contribute to the development of technical standards Assist with disaster recovery planning and implementation Provide technical support for cross-functional projects and mentor entry level team members Participate in off-hours project work and rotating emergency on-call support

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a network/systems-focused role Advanced knowledge of Cisco, Cisco Nexus, and Palo Alto Firewall configuration Strong understanding of: LAN/WAN protocols Wireless and telecommunications systems OSI Model, TCP/IP, and Optical Transport Industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, Fiber, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet) Proven expertise in network design, architecture, and topology Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

Scripting experience in Python or Ansible Experience with disaster recovery exercises Familiarity with penetration testing remediation

Additional Details:

Worksite: On-site, 5 days per week Schedule: Standard business hours with rotating emergency after-hours on-call Start Date: ASAP all candidates required to undergo background check/all candidates required to undergo drug screening: Required
