Associate Data Scientist/Entry-Level Data Scientist

We re seeking a motivated Entry-Level Data Scientist with a strong foundation in Python to join our innovative team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience integrating data science solutions into real-world applications, particularly in the energy sector.

You ll work closely with engineers, developers, and other data scientists to develop and implement logic-based alarmsfor equipment monitoring. This is an excellent role for someone looking to grow into a data analytics or machine learning career path while contributing to critical infrastructure systems.

What You ll Do

• Develop Logic-Based Alarms: Design, configure, and enhance alarm systems using logical rules to monitor operational conditions.
• Analyze Operational Data: Support data analysis efforts related to our energy fleets to detect anomalies or potential issues with equipment.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineers and software developers to integrate data-driven insights into in-house applications.
• Contribute to System Development: Participate in the development, testing, and integration of new or existing tools and workflows into our technical infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Python (basic to intermediate level)
• Familiarity with SQL
• Strong analytical skills and a background in Mathematics, Science, or a related field
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to data analysis tools or techniques
• Understanding of operations in fossil or nuclear power plants
• Experience working with time series data or anomaly detection
