Job Title: Senior IT Quality Assurance Analyst (Custom Salesforce Application)
Location: Remote (Work hours: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM EST)
Prior state government project experience is highly desired.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Quality Assurance Analyst to support the stabilization and ongoing enhancement of a bespoke, mission-critical regulatory platform. Unlike standard CRM implementations, this application is a highly customized solution built with custom code within a Salesforce environment. The system manages complex regulatory workflows, including licensing for cultivators and manufacturers, seed-to-sale inventory tracking, and financial fee processing.
As a key member of our Agile/Scrum team, you will ensure the reliability, usability, and performance of this custom-coded application while working alongside developers to refine requirements and address undocumented business processes.
- Testim: This is the primary tool used for automated testing activities.
- Copado: This tool is integrated with the environment for automating and managing software releases within the Salesforce platform.
- Azure DevOps: Serving as the "single source of truth," it is used for tracking project planning, creating test scenarios and plans, and managing the execution of user acceptance testing (UAT), including bug and issue tracking.
- Salesforce: The core platform where the custom-coded application resides and where all testing activities are focused.
- API Testing Tools: analyst is responsible for testing three specific APIs that exchange inventory, cultivation, and sales data with external providers.
- Azure Virtual Desktop: The required interface for accessing State tools and data securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Application Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for custom-coded Salesforce functionality, focusing on complex business logic rather than standard out-of-the-box features.
- Test Strategy & Planning: Create detailed test scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on functional and design specifications for a system used by over 1,200 external users.
- API & Integration Validation: Test critical API integrations that exchange inventory, cultivation, and sales data with external software providers.
- Defect Management: Identify and document bugs with high levels of detail within Azure DevOps, providing developers with the precise information needed to resolve issues in a custom-code environment.
- Agile Collaboration: Assist the Product Owner in refining user stories and tailoring requirements to meet evolving legislative changes and complex regulatory needs.
- Quality Metrics: Implement and report on quality metrics for each release, providing status updates based on sprints, releases, and project epics.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Platform Expertise: Proven experience testing custom-coded applications on the Salesforce platform. Candidates must demonstrate they can test beyond standard CRM configurations.
- Tools: Mastery of Azure DevOps for test planning and bug tracking. Experience with Copado for release management and Testim for automated testing is highly preferred.
- Methodology: Strong background in Agile/Scrum environments, including participation in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Testing Types: Demonstrated expertise in functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with licensing, inventory tracking, or regulatory compliance systems (especially in the cannabis or similar highly regulated industries) is highly preferred.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining standard EST business hours.
- A proactive approach to identifying requirements that need additional clarification prior to testing.
Preferred Certifications
- IT/Software Testing or QA Certification (e.g., ISTQB).
- Cyber Security training or certifications (e.g., CIS).
