Position: Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Location: Schaumburg, IL (Remote, but local to Chicago)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Business Systems Analyst to support product development efforts across our client's engineering portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and documenting requirements, collaborating with business and technical teams, and contributing to product strategy and delivery within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, define, and document business and technical requirements across multiple systems and user interfaces.

  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows to support feature development.

  • Partner with stakeholders to validate requirements, align expectations, and ensure accurate delivery.

  • Define current and future states for systems and workflows, focusing on UI/UX, data governance, and downstream impacts.

  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to facilitate communication and drive successful implementations.

  • Collaborate with QA to develop and execute test plans and support UAT.

  • Proactively manage priorities, documentation, and cross-functional communication.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in Agile environments.

  • Proven experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process models.

  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies, product lifecycle, and feature refinement.

  • Ability to perform product analysis, A/B testing, and contribute to roadmap planning.

  • Experience working with UI/UX design and workflow documentation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience in the education or e-learning domain.
