Lead, Platform Engineer (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):
The Lead, Platform Engineer creates, maintains and continuously improves solutions on Salesforce platform that has foundational business capabilities and services. Works with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and to assess platform configuration feasibility and impact to other business processes, integrations, or security. Designs flexible and scalable solutions that engage best practices relevant to the platform. This position works closely with the Product Owner (PO) to refine acceptance criteria of stories. Requires skills at the level of ability to produce optimal solutions that consider non-functional requirements, step outside of established tactics & pass advanced technical exams & certifications. Works with broader project issues and plans for the full scope, across design, development, testing, business engagement, and team leadership. Deep understanding of platform and ability to make appropriate decisions on configuring/customization/creating integrated solutions outside the platform. Influences within and outside of group. Mentors in programming sessions and code/configuration/customization reviews with more junior developers.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $179,982.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in:
Certification: Salesforce certifications: System Admin or Platform Developer I
Telecommuting permitted up to 60% per week.
Domestic travel required up to 5%.
Any suitable combination of education or training is acceptable.

- Utilizing Force.com Apex Classes, Apex triggers, Batch Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visual Force (VF Pages), Integration (REST, SOAP, Change Data Capture, and
Platform Events), Force.com API, SOQL and SOSL; - Salesforce customizations, workflow approvals, flow, report, dashboard and process builder;
- Salesforce data migration using different data tools such as Apex Data Loader, Excel Connector, Import Wizard, SFDC Data Export and Mass Delete;
- Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and scaled agile framework and Test-Driven Development (TDD);
- Monitoring and logging techniques, including Splunk, salesforce event monitoring, Debug logs, Audit trail and API Usage;
- Code Optimization, Integration Experience with SOAP, REST, and Outbound Messages with third party programs; and,
- Web service technologies, including REST and JSON.
